Weekend

Didn't do as well as I expected to over the weekend but at least I drank my water :)
Had a few to many adult drinks last night and snacked on popcorn and chips so to say the weeklies were used is an understatement.

I spent all day doing homework and laundry but my eating was much better. Only went over by one point and that's because I had a yogurt cup before bed.
Mucho water was consumed but I did add flavoring to it. Made it go down much easier.
Until tomorrow. . Night.

Day 2

I survived.Today honestly wasn't as bad as yesterday eating wise. I ate enough fruits and veggies today but didn't have much luck with the water. I'm not willing to give up my coffee so I know I have to drink enough water to counteract, but it just didn't happen today.

I think a lot of it was frustration at work and being past ready for fall break. I swear if it shows and they take away the first two days I break I will freak. The . Eff. Out!

Anyway, today wasn't a good day necessarily for the water but the milk and veggies groups got some love so I'm happy. One step at a time. I hope to be down 5 pounds or more by Thanksgiving. I got this.

The Beginning ... Again

I started weight watchers again. Boy is it hard when you are *old* like me... making excuses, buying junk food, eating out all.the.time,  I can't do it anymore.
I've known for a while now that I need to do something.  My shirts have been tight,  my work pants tighter, and of all things my butt is getting to big to fit in my panties. (Tmi I know!) But still, there you have it... I'm getting FAT! I'm tired all the time, my legs kills me if I've been walking to much, I'm out of breath when i walk from the cafeteria at school to my classroom..and exercise? Pshhhh.  What's that?
The husband found something that's working for him, he drinks a protein shake or two each day and hes lost somewhere around 35 - 40 lbs in 3 months or so. Only to be a guy right?  I tried those shakes too. They are gross and I swear they made me GAIN instead of lose so I nixed that plan in a hurry.  Truth be told weight watchers is the only thing that works for me. Knowing that I'm accountable for what I eat and deducting those daily points each day forces me to make better choices in my eating.  Goodbye school lunches (this makes me sad! Our cooks at school are amazing!) And goodbye fast food with a bazillion calories.  I'm making a change and it started today.
I tracked my food (good and bad), drank so much water that I spent all day peeing, lol, and made way better choices for my meals -- I did still have a burger and fries for dinner though! In my defense it's our grain fed beef and oven baked fries and I logged EVERY point AND had enough points left in my day for that dinner.
So there you have it. I'm back!  The 2nd half of my 40th year is going to be GREAT! my goal is to make myself a winner by losing!
I had to create this blog and write this first post before I could go to bed tonight. Being accountable and making healthy choices starts now.
